This live project is taken place in Natural Hills, Lembang. As an architect, practical work is a must, being able work in field work will make you know the basic of construction. The mission of this live project is to make something useful for camp area around there, and can be used for a long time with simple materials in 3 days 2 nights.

 

Catching Fire has interesting concept, which is made through a process of catching a light. This project used  a natural materials such as bamboo, brick and vegetation for the finishing. Bamboo is easy to grow and requires no special maintenance. It also has a high enough strength , tensile strength comparable to steel, and it is good enough to carry the bending moment.

 

Brick has better resistance to fire compared to other materila, so it is great for building material because it is not flammable. It is a great material for bonfire. For the finishing, wil use vegetation such as thunbergia.

 

CATCHING FIRE is built to complement the surrounding area which is a camp area.
