As an archipelago country, Indonesia is one of the biggest country in the world with around 13.466 islands inside it. Indonesia has a vast ocean which is make it possible for Indonesia become maritime country. There are many beach resort in Indonesia, but not all of it can be put to good use. Only a few areas such as Bali, Lombok, Raja Ampat and Thousand Islands, although there are alot other areas that have great potential in improving Indonesia in maritime sector, especially beach tourism, such as in Belitung Island.

 

Inside Belitung Island, there are alot local resources such as local food and local culture that can be used as a attractiveness to tourist. Unfortunately Belitung existence as tourist area not supported by good facilities and decent accommodation. Lack of accommodation to accommodate an increasing number of tourist, and the lack of amenities, resulting in decreased customer satisfaction.

 

The Spirit of Belitung is a hotel resort project that will use Belitung unique locality as its focal point. Hotel resort is a hotel that was built in tourist spot. The development objective of this project is as tourist accommodation facilities. It has the potential to advance the surrounding area, to attract tourist who will provide economically. The Spirit of Belitung aims to build a resort hotel to provide better  accommodation facility and to develop Belitung as one of maritime tourism destination in Indonesia.
